Made to measure staircases are designed from scratch to fit perfectly to your individual space and according to your taste. Whether you need a carefully designed staircase to give you access to a loft room without encroaching on the rest of your house, or you want to update or restore an existing staircase, we will design and install high quality, bespoke wooden or glass balustrades to suit your individual taste. New balustrades - handrails, spindles and posts can also be replaced on original staircases to give them a new lease of life.
Which wood to choose?
Solid oak makes beautiful staircases with chamfered spindles and we're happy to work with oak, hemlock or pine. Pine is the most cost effective and can be painted, hemlock is great because it has less knots, solid oak gives the best quality finish.
Wall Panelling and finishing touches: create a flawless finish and hidden storage
Wood panels can transform your walls into beautiful works of art. They are great for covering any flaws in the walls and are easy to paint or varnish and maintain. We can install wood panelling as a stand alone project or as part of an interior overhaul, including all interior joinery such as architraves and skirting.

We will be happy to either adapt and hang 'off the shelf' internal doors or create bespoke doors in our workshop to meet your individual needs. If new architraves and door frames are required, Cole Carpentry is highly experienced in installing these too.
